In the post prior to this I mentioned the seemingly abandoned buildings or “homes” in Brazil that I saw during my trip there. This is yet another example. Although it is a black-and-white image, you can better understand the degree of disrepair.

Again not sure whether this was someone’s home, but a young boy from the village went inside this structure to get his fishing pole and gear, just moments before this photo was taken.

The location is the village of Cairu, on the island of the same name, in Bahia, northeastern Brazil.
